HOW YOU KNOW HIM: Singer/actor Josh used to be in the babely boy band No Authority-now he has a solo career that's really taking off (he shares a manager with Britney Spears and *NSYNC). Look for his RCA Records debut to hit stores in the next few months. As for acting, well, he's done tons of stuff: General Hospital, the CBS movie of the week A Murder on Shadow Mountain, Baywatch, Boy Meets World, Chicago Hope and Sister, Sister, to name a few.

SINGIN' SWEETIE: "I was in a gospel group for a couple years when I was 12 and 13. It was a multicultural thing put together by a record producer after the L.A. riots. It was really fun to be in and that's where I learned a lot of my style and developed my voice."

BIT BY THE ACTING BUG: "I have an older sister [Ali Navarro] who is in a group called Nobody's Angel and I always used to tag along when she would go to her acting auditions. So I told my parents, 'Hey, Mom and Dad, I really want to do this too.' I did a commercial for Osh Kosh B'Gosh overalls when I was 3 or 4, and I did print ads for See 'N Say-you know, that toy where you pull the string and hear animal sounds."

MOMMA'S BOY: "The most important lesson I ever learned was probably to trust my mom. My first serious relationship was a disaster. It was the wrong girl and my mother saw this from the beginning. Finally, a bunch of things went wrong and I saw that it wasn't something beneficial to me. So I eventually ended it. It really caused a lot of stress in my life for a year."

STAND-OUT SONGS: "My songs are very personal. I touch on different things about love and how hard it is to go into another relationship and trust somebody again after you've been hurt. And then there are songs that make you just wanna get on the floor and start dancing!"

IN SYNC WITH *NSYNC: "*NSYNC are actually one of my inspirations. They're the people who made pop music cool for me. Because at first, all I wanted to do was sing R&B, and then I heard 'N Sync and I was like, 'Wow! You can be pop and still have soul.' That's going to be a great tour to be on because I've seen their live show and it's amazing."

LOOKIN' FOR LOVE: "I want a girl who's got the confidence to laugh at me and at herself and at everyone else and not take things too seriously because I never take things too seriously."

THE PERFECT DATE: "I'm very spontaneous. I don't like to plan things, so usually, like if I'm going to pick up the girl, I say, 'OK. Be ready at this time,' but I won't tell her what we're doing and depending on what my mood is, you never know. I'm always thinking of something different."

WHAT HE'S HIDING: "I have two tattoos. One on the right side of my chest-it says 'determination' in Kanji writing. I also have one on my left arm, up on my shoulder area-it's my name in a negative space design where you look for the letters in between blocks; you've got to look at what's not there. The whole idea behind that is to not judge something based on what you see, because it's what you don't see that says something about a person."
